Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink

Introduction

Please recycle whenever possible.

Recycling Sites

Recycle items at these recycling sites:

Alkaline Batteries

  1. Davis Hall Room 230S (Electrical Engineering)
  2. Student Union Information Desk (near the north entrance facing the UB Commons).

Computer Disks (hard drives, optical disks, floppies)

  1. CIT's Lockwood Cybrary, located at Lockwood Library, 2nd Floor. CIT maintains a contract with an external vendor who guarantees that the disks handed over to them will be erased and physically destroyed. Drop your old disks in the locked plastic box near the Helpdesk.

Electronics

  1. Stack electronics against the wall in the hallway outside your office/lab. Contact cse-consult@buffalo.edu to fill out a University Facilities Surplus/Disposal form. You can fill out most of this form yourself if you prefer, but it requires a departmental signature to authorize University Facilities to begin work.

Paper

  1. Mixed paper recycling bins are distributed in hallways throughout UB.

Video Projector Lightbulbs
