Multimedia Lab

Introduction

The Multimedia Lab occupies 301A Davis Hall (927 net square feet).

Features

  1. Media Zone. A large open space, roughly 17' x 18' (~300 NSF), is needed to install camera array and microphone array for multimedia communication research and experiments, particularly for 3D audio-visual data acquisition.
  2. Overhead and Ground Utility Grid for mounting cameras and microphones
  3. Equipment Zone. Another rectangle open space, roughly 10' x 20' (200 NSF), is needed for communication channel simulation and signal generation equipment for the study of wireless networking link capacity study
  4. Demo Zone. A collaboration and demo space, roughly 10' x 20' (200 NSF), for project discussions and display of research projects.
  5. Student Zone. Space to accommodate workstation desks for at least 10 graduate students, roughly 15' x 20' (300 NSF), are also needed.
