Jess

Introduction

Jess (Java Expert System Shell), a rule engine for the Java platform, is a superset of CLIPS programming language, developed by Ernest Friedman-Hill of Sandia National Labs. It was first written in late 1995.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (32-bit) % /util/bin/jess 7.0p2 (default)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (64-bit) % /util/bin/jess 7.0p2, 7.1p2 (default)
Solaris % /util/bin/jess 6.1p7, 7.0p2, 7.1p2 (default)

Notes

  1. Exit with Ctrl-d (Control d).
