CASTLE

Introduction

CASTLE is a virtual world simulator for testing cognitive models.

It simulates a world inhabited by humanoid robots, synthesizes the perceptual inputs those robots experience, and responds to their actions. CASTLE features database storage of world state, a cross-platform, cross-language API for attaching cognitive models, a simulation of rigid body physics, and much more...

CASTLE is available under a the GNU General Public License and is actively developed, maintained and supported.

Notes

  1. Install a local version of Java JRE in the CASTLE directory. The Java 3D developers recommend not installing Java 3D into the existing production JRE:
    Alternatively, you can run the installer as shown below, keeping in mind that it is not
    recommended to install the j3d jar files and native libraries directly into the JRE.
