Cadi-web MySQL and Web Server

Cadi-web is FreeBSD machine running both Apache and MySQL. This machine is used by both internal UB and outside collaborators for a radiology viewer system. Currently ports 3306, 2525 and 80 are open for this machine through the firewall.

This Machine currently has its /data directory backed up to the CSE tape backup system

Currently database clients are distributed that all use a shared MySQL account on port 3306. All MySQL and Web data is stored in /data. The long-term goal is to perform communication only through one port, and subsequently enable encrypted data transfer to comply with HIPAA.

Steps for this:

  1. Implement data transfer using java server and stop the use of http.
  2. Database access should not be done through client, and access to port 3306 should also be stopped.
