Adobe Dreamweaver is a web development application originally created by Macromedia and now owned by Adobe Systems, which acquired Macromedia in 2005.
Dreamweaver is available for both Mac and Windows operating systems. Recent versions have incorporated support for web technologies such as CSS, JavaScript, and various server-side scripting languages and frameworks including ASP.NET, ColdFusion, JavaServer Pages, and PHP.
- Kevin Eye of UB Creative Services designed the new CSE website to be manageable by Contribute or Dreamweaver (2/20/2008):
The site is setup to be managed with Contribute and/or Dreamweaver.
Contribute has limited, insecure ways of restricting who can edit what, on
top of the usual filesystem permissions, which can be very flexible, but
mysterious to non-technical editors.
When we meet we can go over everything from ways to delegate content editing
in the current system, to the effort it might take you to transition the
whole site into something like Drupal.
